Monster Box Training Center classes are professional in nature, but our main objective is to bring the Arts closer to the community and provide opportunities, not only for actors to enhance their skills, but also to enable anyone to enrich themselves by exploration. A Different Approach to a Stage
WINTER SESSION
​5 Weeks
Wednesdays
7:00 to 9:00 pm

The Art of Speaking -
This class will explore the concepts of communication through language. Focus will be on skills and techniques used to improve speaking to an audience or in public. The student can expect to see growth in confidence, preparedness, and effectiveness. Skills learned will be applicable to a variety of situations and individual goals. These can range from live performance (story-telling, monologues, poetry, etc.), through business and professional applications (training, presenting, interviewing, leadership and management) and will be weighted based on the goals of the students in attendance, both as a group and individually. Classes will operate in an environment of support and collaboration, and be a judgement-free safe space. There is no experience pre-requisite, and this seminar is designed to benefit a variety of learning goals, from workplace growth through public performance. All are welcome.

Improvisation skills and techniques are broken down into basic concepts and made accessible through games and exercises which are fun, funny and a really good time. Whether you have ever been on a stage or not, the core concepts behind improvisation will build confidence and improve communication skills in all areas of life, from day to day work and personal interactions through professional performance. And, best of all, improv is pretty darn fun.
Classes operate in an enjoyable, collaborative environment and will be a safe place for all to stretch, exercise and grow.
Improv Basics will benefit both the beginner and the professional by allowing students to grow at their own pace. There is no pre-requisite and all are welcome.

Find your voice as an actor and individual! This five-week introductory course provides a foundational exploration into the craft of acting, designed for those with little to moderate experience. Students will develop a fundamental base of acting techniques and skills through a blend of exercises, discussions, and performance opportunities. Classes will be instructed by professional actors and directors.

Ignite a passion for the stage! This six-week introductory course provides a foundational exploration into the craft of acting, designed for young actors with little to moderate experience. Students will develop a fundamental base of acting techniques and skills through a blend of exercises, discussions, and performance opportunities. Classes will be instructed by professional actors and directors and will culminate with a performance on the final day.
